LASIK as early as possible
Dryness-related chronic irritation of the eyes is the most frequently diagnosed con-dition in today's ophthalmology practices. Where does this phenomenon come from? Basically, there are two causes: soft contact lenses and long hours of computer work typical for the everyday life of many people. If in the past it was recommended to do without soft contact lenses occasionally to protect the eyes, modern ophthalmology advises getting to the root of the problem directly rather than curing symptoms, in agreement with the American RSA (Refractive Surgery Alliance). Simply put: LASIK should be performed as soon as possible, i.e. at the age of 18+. As for soft contact lenses, patients continue to complain about the consequences years after ceasing to use them. And: Additional corrections which may be required can be performed easily, quickly and safely using today’s state-of-the-art LASIK technology.
